Aarti at the Assi Ghat

After seeing the extravagant Ganga Aarti during sunset, the early morning sunrise Aarti at the Assi Ghat was an intimate and profoundly spiritual experience.

Aarti is a Hindu religious ritual of worship that takes place each day at dawn and dusk on the banks of the river Ganga. Fire, songs and flowers are offered as a way of showing humility and gratitude to God’s divine form.
